First time swimming

We spent the weekend on a little family getaway, involving lots of R&R. All told, we spent 3 days up in Breckenridge.

On Saturday we drove up early in the morning. It’s definitely early Spring in Colorado. After a 75 degree day in Boulder last Sunday, we left amidst a rain storm out of Boulder. By the time we passed Idaho Springs we were in snow and shortly after drove past a packed Loveland ski hill. We stopped to have an early lunch in Frisco at the Backcountry Brewery. It was our first time trying this place and I have to say that they make some of the best pizza we’ve had in a very, very long time. We took a little trip into town and walked around on a sunny, mid 40s day. A little grocery shopping so we could make some meals and rented a movie to watch after we got Dylan down. We don’t get too many chances to watch movies so when we do they have to count. We finally watched The Hangover. Great movie and unbelievably funny!

We woke up on Sunday morning to some snow; totaling about 3-4 inches. We grabbed a cup of coffee at Clint’s down on Main St and let Dylan try some muffins. After a morning nap we took Dylan to the Breckenridge Rec Center to do some swimming. All in all, he had a great time! He definitely loves taking baths so we were hoping that he would love enjoy the pool. He loved it and enjoyed splashing water, playing with the basketballs in the pool and exploring all the cool gadgets in the pool.

Here are some pictures from the weekend and Dylan swimming:
